handing out for my most precious morning espresso, i've got once again the tech review mag for a quick browse (Technology Review, Special Issue, April 2007) and came across the article published by John Borland. reading it, i had the idea that he's outlining some kind of ideas and concepts we all think of lately.
the idea: to use the world wide web as a huge database, ready to provide individuals with personalized, fully customized complex solutions in terms of seconds. amazing!
reading the 6 pages essey i thought automatically of robots, SF, and the like; humans making artificial intelligence work for us. that is probably the future, but how can you teach some plastic-metal form to 'learn' and process informations the way humans do? first thing popping are the so called "online/instant translators"; it doesn't matter i think from which language you intend to translate a text into another one; unless a human brain doesn't process the translated text and correct it, the output is worth... litlle something. but artificial intelligence? nowadays?
so i've decided to open this blog, a 'yet-another-blog-on-something' style, open for every human have his say on the matter.
would this concept, of artificial intelligence working for us in terms of semantic tools on duty for humanity, find its adepts? hope...and hope again...
any input on the subject will be highly appreciated.
as the title say: from real life >> to >> intelligent web!
looking forward hearing from you all,
"a believer"
